Summary:
At JSH LLC,DSP caregivers provide support services and assistance to individuals in their homes or in the community.
Candidates will have a desire to create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals.
Expected Time of Work/Wk:
40hrs/week Expected
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Current auto liability insurance Reliable transportation Acceptable criminal record Demonstrate the ability to communicate adequately in order to:
complete required forms and reports of visits; and follow oral or written instructions.
Demonstrate the ability to provide services according to the individual's ISP.
Demonstrate willingness to accept supervision.
Demonstrate an interest in and empathy for individuals.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide direct resident care while promoting resident dignity independence choice.
Regularly observe resident's physical and mental conditions.
Report changes/incidences to the supervisor/house manager Assist with ADLS; taking vital signs as well as weights plus accurately documenting care services provided and observations on communication log & incident reports; reporting & documenting all incidents accidents immediately.
Assist residents with dining room activities.
Perform first aid; initiating emergency response procedures as required.
Receive and greet residents, visitors, staff courteously and answering phones when assigned.
Serve meals in the dining room (assisting residents at mealtime).
Assist with kitchen clean up maintenance.
Assist with tours move-ins move-outs, coordinating personal care service with co-workers assisting with lifting, transportation etc.
Assist with apartment housekeeping services resident's laundry.
Participate in trainings and staff meetings.
Fill and submit timecards and daily narratives in time while observing the online check-in and check-out records.
