Summary:
Responsible for managing the solar financing group's financial modeling processes including building, maintaining, and presenting financial models required to support the Bank's prospective solar energy projects - works closely with the Sr.
Manager of Finance and Sales and the Solar Division Head to analyze and recommend solar projects.
Also responsible for financial planning and analysis work streams such as ongoing business unit reporting and analysis, assisting with business unit annual planning process, and various ad hoc financial strategy tasks.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Serves as the trusted finance team member and plays an important role in the overall business decision process.
Responsible for the forecasting, budgeting, and tracking of the solar business' financial progress.
Collaborates and drives financial modeling process and is involved in client-facing conversations to cover financial impacts of each solar project.
Develops, builds, and maintains financial models for internal analysis, loan approval and client presentations.
Proactively coordinates directly with clients and outside consultants to obtain and verify modeling inputs, assumptions, and rationale.
Prepares or assists Sr.
Mgr.
of Finance and Sales in the preparation of internal and external presentation materials such as executive leadership, process partners, etc.
Collaborates with the Solar team on all structural and technical aspects of solar projects and is a contributor to the negotiation process.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested, including special nonrecurring projects for management.
Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to this position as well as other recommended banking-related education opportunities.
Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience preferred.
Three (3) or more years of accounting, financial analysis and modeling experience required.
Prior financial banking experience or solar development experience preferred.
Understanding of energy project finance deal structures and terminology preferred.
Understanding of corporate finance, valuation and financial accounting preferred.
Curiosity and desire to learn about renewable energy financing, Excel, financial modeling, etc.
Excellent PC skills--expertise in Excel preferred, proficiency essential, proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and database software preferred.
Excellent math and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and drive completion of projects to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to drive multiple tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required; Business or Finance major preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
