Quality Engineer
Our client is an $8 billion tier-1 automotive supplier. We are currently searching for mid to sr. level Quality Engineers for their Clean Air Products products division. These are direct hire positions and relocation assistance is offered where applicable.

POSITION
Summary:
Responsible for ensuring product quality and machine availability for production manufacturing. The Quality Functions include but are not limited to implementing and maintaining ISO/TS16949:2002(E), auditing, quality training, and quality improvements. Other miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Support and advance the concepts of simultaneous engineering.
o Develop and implement quality improvements using various quality techniques.
o Develop, implement and manage quality systems to meet ISO/TS16949:2002(E) and Ford Q1.
o Develop and maintain process capability and corrective action activities.
o Develop, coordinate and maintain PFMEA's and control plans.
o Coordinate all Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
o Support inspection activities. Perform inspection activities as required.
o Assist supplier issue resolution activities with the customer and supply base.
o Use QOS process to track trends and improve production processes.
o Manage and coordinate the control, calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
o Coordinate purchasing of inspection, measuring and testing equipment to maintain or improve efficiency.
o Support daily product and new product build activities.
o Perform job duties in line with company polices, procedures, and work instructions pertaining to ISO 14001 and Safety requirements.
o Perform job functions in compliance with relevant environmental, safety regulations.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
o Bachelors Degree in Engineering and/or equivalent experience.
o 3
years quality engineering experience preferred.
o Extensive knowledge of ISO/TS16949:2002(E), auditing, statistical techniques, and formal problem solving preferred.
o Awareness of various customer quality requirements and quality award programs.
o ASQ certification highly desirable.
o Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
