Job Description:
This role collaborates with our Engineering department, Service Department, Contract Administration, and management to provide accountability and follow-up to our customers.
This person will become an expert in their territory in order to provide reliability, advice, and recommendations to our customers. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining involvement on turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer related projects to meet deadlines and budgets
Developing an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
Developing relationships with customers, prospects, and suppliers within the territory to enhance future sales efforts
Generating opportunities for quotation by providing continuous support and recommendations to new and existing customers.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong passion to follow the sales process from discovery to closing stages.
This position requires frequent travel throughout the entire Northwest Minneapolis territory.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has an interest in being a commission leader in this territory; a competitive mindset will be extremely beneficial. Unwavering ethics and professional drive are required to be successful.
The Sales Engineer will possess strong, professional communication and presentation skills. Previous experience with machine tools is not required, although technical aptitude is a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
