Are you an Account Manager/Business Development Manager who has experience selling a customized solution to the following industries: aerospace/aviation, automotive or, appliance? Are you an Account Manager/Business Development Manager who is a hunter with a track record of increasing sales by adding new customers to an existing customer base? Our client has been in business over 50 years and designs and builds manufacturing equipment and assembly systems for customers in the following industries: aerospace/aviation, automotive, appliance, and energy. Our client is seeking an addition to it sales team, an Account Manager who will spend most of his/her time developing new customers in Central and southern IN who are in the aerospace/aviation, automotive, or appliance industries. Since our client is an engineered to order manufacturer, you will work closely with our client's customer's engineering department on the development of new products. You will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership for our client's customers as you develop new accounts. You will prepare sales performance data and compare to expectations, make recommendations and/or changes if necessary. This position requires 75-80% travel, which is mainly day travel. You will work out of a home office.
Principle
Responsibilities:

Discover and cultivate new customers in any of the following industries: aerospace/aviation, automotive, energy, and consumer goods.
Comprehend customer drawings, specifications, bills of material, & timelines to support developing cost and budget models
Review customer needs and develop solutions assisted by internal resources
Establish and work to sales and marketing performance goals
Help plan and implement sales strategies
Help perform and develop proposals from project plans and specs and negotiate and secure project orders
Create a profile of the preferred characteristics and needs of potential customers and how Company Brand aligns; track sales leads, wins and losses in sales database system
Identify and segment a broader customer database and track potential opportunities
Review, analyze and recommend action to enhance our business processes both internally and externally
Follow a Best practice / value added approach to the development of new procedures necessitated by changes both within current business technologies and the Company
Work with sales management to develop new opportunities for the Company
Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership
Participate in industry trade shows and local organizations to build relationships with customers
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sales and Marketing
Minimum of 3 years technical sales experience selling to the any of the following industries: aerospace/aviation, automotive or appliance,
Experience in a engineered to order/job shop manufacturing environment selling one-off automated and assembly equipment.
Experience selling automated equipment that is manufactured in a CNC environment strongly preferred
Engineering experience a big plus but not required
Strong technical background with a proven track record of selling and working with a prospective customer's engineer team to develop a customized solution.
Experienced at presenting proposal solutions in a group setting strongly preferred
Strong oral communication skills
Quoting experience
Willingness to travel up to 75-80%--day travel

There is no relocation offered. You will work in a home office based in South Bend or surrounding area.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
