2nd Shift Production Supervisor
LTI Services is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for a leading manufacturer of steel boxes and covers, as well as a complete line of nonmetallic boxes and covers, metallic and nonmetallic electrical fitting and floor boxes in South Bend. This company is an international manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications and operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the People's Republic of China (China), Italy, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Australia. They also participate in joint ventures in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and maintains sales offices in Singapore, China, India, Mexico, South Korea, and countries in the Middle East.
Responsibilities:
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustment of machines
Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties
Establishes/adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop and department
Analyzes and resolves work problems and/or assists workers in solving work problems
Initiates/suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve goals
Maintains time and production records
Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years' plus related experience and/or training required
Management/Supervisory experience of Production Line preferred
Metal Stamping and associated machinery preferred
Warehousing experience considered a plus
Ability to pass general health physical
Ability to pass pre-employment Hair Follicle Drug Test
Background Check required
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has worked as a Production Supervisor in a warehouse setting previously and has managed/supervised a Production Line. This is a salaried position, starting at $65k/year.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
