LTI Services is recruiting for a Tool & Die Maker/Journeyman for a leading manufacturer of steel boxes and covers, as well as a complete line of nonmetallic boxes and covers, metallic and nonmetallic electrical fitting and floor boxes in South Bend. This company is an international manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications and operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the People's Republic of China (China), Italy, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Australia. They also participate in joint ventures in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and maintains sales offices in Singapore, China, India, Mexico, South Korea, and countries in the Middle East.
Responsibilities:
Make any parts of dies or fixtures, repairs, alters or grinds dies and fixtures, as well as disassemble or assemble dies or fixtures in accordance with directions or instructions from the foreman
Precision fitting with machine or hand tools and make or assemble dies and fixtures
When necessary, make layouts, including mathematical calculations
Must be able to locate and correct malfunctions of dies and fixtures
When required, work on dies and fixtures while in presses, as well as in the tool room
Must be able to use machines common to the trade
Requirements:
Have an approved IUE Journeyman's Card
Be a graduate apprentice of a certified apprentice program
Supply notarized proof of Eight Years in the trade
Must supply tools usual to the trade
Produce HS Diploma and /or GED
Ability to pass pre-employment Hair Follicle Drug Test
Undergo and pass general health Physical
Ability to pass Background Check requirements
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has worked as a Tool & Die Maker/Journeyman in a factory/machine shop setting for at least eight years. As a leading supplier of electrical products to a diverse and constantly changing worldwide customer base, our customer builds their business on service to their distribution partners, product quality and innovation, insights into end-user needs, and a culture and work environment that promote creativity, productivity and strong customer relationships.
Our customer runs three shifts daily and there may be openings on each one. This is a Direct-Hire opportunity with a 90-day probationary period. Wages are paid in accordance with the number of parts produced each week.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
