Human Resources Specialist

Carbon's Golden Malted is hiring an experienced Human Resources Specialist at our office in South Bend, IN. The Human Resources Specialist will be largely responsible for the recruiting and benefits coordination functions along with managing other day-to-day activities and processes associated with HR.
Essential Functions
o Developing new and creative sourcing strategies for sales, clerical and light industrial positions nation wide
o Source, screen and interview candidates to obtain information on work history and job skills, occasionally attending job fairs
o Building relationships with management team to assist with their recruiting and hiring needs
o Maintain records and procedures for the benefits administration process
o Administer employee benefits programs
o Ensure accuracy of employee benefits data, including service from third party vendors
o Reconcile and ensure payment of benefit bills
o Monitor and approve employee timecards and paid time off
o Administer the company's drug testing program
o Compile and prepare data for statistical reporting
o Provide information by answering questions and requests from employees and management team
o Complete miscellaneous research, reports, emails, projects and tasks as requested

Job Requirements
Required Experience/Education
Bachelor Degree required
Minimum of 2 years recruiting and benefits experience
Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Experience with ADP software preferred
Required Skills
Basic understanding of HR functions and recordkeeping requirements
Well organized and adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Accurate and attentive to detail
Strong communication and public relations skills
Ability to keep information confidential a must
Excellent time management & project follow through
This is a full-time, exempt position with medical, dental, life, disability, paid time off, 401k match and bonus opportunity.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
